Interactive Online Workshop FAQ

Interactive Online Workshop FAQs

What are the technical requirements for the online workshop?

We will be using ZOOM (a video conferencing service) to conduct the workshop.

Check here for more details about what’s needed to participate on a Zoom call/conference.

Will I still get to interact with the speakers and the other participants?

Yes! We will still have interactive sessions and small breakout sessions throughout each day.

What if I am called away to a birth, am sick this weekend, or otherwise can’t attend?

You are welcome to apply your payment to a future CALM workshop.

Can I watch with other midwives in my area?

If you would like to organize a watch party, you are more than welcome to do so! Every participant must complete a paid registration to receive CEUs.

How will I receive my CEUs?

Just like our face-to-face regional workshop, you will receive an online evaluation with post-test questions after the event. Once you complete that evaluation, you will receive your certificates via email.

Need a hand with getting into the workshop?

We will be joining the workshop 30 minutes early to say hello, connect with one another, and lend assistance where needed joining the workshop. If you need help, text Jeanette at 773-401-0110.

Will the workshop be at the same time?

The workshop will start at 9 am pacific. We encourage all participants to join the call 30 minutes early the first day to ensure a smooth experience.

We will take breaks as planned, including a lunch break from 1 pm - 2 pm.

Can I watch the recording instead?

Please plan to attend in real time. We have made the shift to an interactive virtual setting on a short time frame and we cannot yet guarantee that a recording for all sessions will be available.
